For decades, Switzerland has been at the forefront of fusion research and high-precision engineering. From our leading academic institutions like the Swiss Plasma Center (SPC) at EPFL and the Paul Scherrer Institut (PSI) to our world-class industrial base, Swiss expertise has played an essential role in flagship international programs like ITER.

Today, the fusion sector is experiencing an unprecedented acceleration. Beyond public research, a vibrant private fusion market is rapidly emerging globally. To ensure that Swiss industry not only keeps pace but leads this technological revolution, we established the Swiss Fusion Industry Association.

SFIA serves as the unified platform connecting Swiss companies, academic research centers, and public stakeholders. Our purpose is clear: to coordinate our national capabilities, foster cross-sector innovation, representation, and enable Swiss companies to secure high-value contracts across public and commercial fusion projects worldwide.
